The blueprint of the building was developed by China State Construction Engineering Construction or CSCEC, a company that designed many iconic buildings such Beijing National Aquatics Center, better known as “Water Cube” and CCTV Tower. This company ranks 100th in the “Top 500” companies of the world as of 2012.

ICC Tower is considered to be a significantly large commercial center in terms of its service range. We designed the building in a way that it creates synergy with other architecture in the vicinity while maintaining its unique and distinctive character. In addition, careful consideration was made with regards to the harsh weather conditions and
wind effects. We chose a glass facade as this can provide an energy efficient solution in the midst of the winter and extreme temperatures.

ICC Tower is located in the heart of Ulaanbaatar. This is an area that can be easily considered as the face of
urban planning. Therefore, we considered this throughout our design process, so that ICC Tower can be one of
the jewels of the city. As the glass design expresses contemporary architecture and creates harmony with historical
landmarks, we decided to create this work of Contextual Realism.
